Often two or three. I've been to interviews before where the recruiter had mangled the file I sent them - one so badly I was surprised I still got the interview! I contacted that recruiter shortly afterwards to request they seek my approval before sending a reformatted version of my resume. The other thing that bothers me about recruiters is those who can't read that there is a URL at the top of the document that very clearly says where to get the latest version. It saves them time, it saves me time. Or it would if they didn't ring me asking for an emailed copy! And then I ask would it be easier to pull it off a web server, most of them say yes! So had you actually read it?
