Disgruntled Gamers: 1 - StarForce: 0 by Scirocco 2006-04-12 12:24:27
The producer for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 5, an upcoming title, has officially announced on the Ubisoft forums that they have dropped Storforce for their game.

A public relations person at Ubisoft also announced on their (French) forums that Ubisoft will not be using Starforce on their future products (note: plural).

Ubisoft has been a major user of the Starforce protection and with them abandoning it we can only hope that others will follow suit and we may, once and for all, get rid of this.

Now I'm just waiting for the official announcment from StarForce about how Ubisoft is clearly run by internet pirates and in conspiracy with the Swiss mob... :)

*is happy*
