...doing other than taking a phone call. Mobile phones are now seen as a social connection to which they have a right, and by god they'll freak if anyone tries to deny them that, even if they're in the middle of driving on a highway, or in a line at the library, or busy pinching off a hot loaf in the stall. Really, I'm not kidding. I wish I could find the article that explained the psychology of obsessive mobile phone use. It's freaky.
