I used to rent trucks for another company (Let's just say it wasn't really a Budget company), we had more then once people come into us to rent a replacement truck for their U-Haul truck. Last time I rented a truck (ok, a van, I didn't have much to move) I grabbed a Budget one, the van was nice and new and I had no worries about it. Of course, being end of the month rates were over double the normal midmonth rates. We've also rented National and Discount (may be local/Canadian firms) without issue. Generally the bigcar rental agencies keep a decent fleet of trucks (and present them well).
