They don't seem to make a *whiff* of difference in how CRA determines if you're an independent contractor or an employee.

The instance which I know of (and have referred to), CRA made the determination (apparently) based on 2 phone interviews.

The people worked day-to-day (and were paid at the end of a shift).
Payment was a percentage of gross income generated by the individual.
They were no work schedules, but there were two 12-hour shifts.
My own knowledge of the shifts indicates that signing in and out was not *strictly* enforced.
