<rant>For the past three days, major websites such as earthlink.net, photobucket.com, livejournal.com, the Steam servers, and several others have been unreachable from on campus (including the dorms). On top of that, we have had nightly internet outages, two complete network outages this week, and one night where every single on-campus server (including software licence servers, shared directories, exchange, and the school web site) went down. Plus, there was the day last week where they screwed up the routing tables and sent all internet traffic through a single cable modem.
During all this, Network Operations has insisted that nothing is wrong. Maybe if network operations didn't blow their entire budget on plasma screens for the NOC...</rant> |
