Maybe now you can understand that more. AFAIK symptom states that circle around summer/winter cycles are not common, but depressions generally tend to be stronger in winter times... It's hard to say what she's about. It could be true, though. And if it's that, she should get support by a experienced doctor. And some support by her surroundings.
