Random question about Bipolar disorder by fiordhraoi 2006-04-12 07:57:34
I have a player in my LARP who pretty much dropped off the face of the earth for 5 months as far as we were concerned - no contact from her, no attendance, not even a quick email. Now she wants to come back, and I have said no, because I don't feel like she is a reliable player anymore.

She is saying that she has bipolar disorder, and thus when winter comes around, she pretty much goes into "hibernation" and has no real social contact with anyone for 4-6 months. Personally, I don't think this completely excuses her actions, but I've never heard of that as a symptom of bipolar disorder. Anyone know if it is, or is she most likely just lying to me on top of everything else? Frankly, that's my inclination to believe right there, but I'd rather disprove her statements with fact than be left with any doubt.
