Overheard at the office by wolfhound6682006-04-12 07:35:23

I have an issue more with dates by VivianC 2006-04-12 07:55:35
I've worked for 4 different companies in the computer field (soon to start at my fifth) in the past 15 years. I can never remember my start and end dates. Also, two of those companies were bought out (one THREE TIMES) during my tenure. Both have been sold again since I left. Contact info is a mess.

But to Wolf's point, you should always bring multiple copies of your resume to an interview. I have one for myself and at least one for every person who might be in the room. It helps to keep everyone looking at the same source.

My most recent interview, my new boss was happy to get a "clean" copy of my resume. The cut and paste web form mangles them pretty badly. He told me that they actually didn't hire anyone for a couple months after the system was put in place. No one told them they had moved to cut and paste and they were all disappointed with the poor quality of the resumes.

Lastly, what's a CV? Never seen that term before.
