...over a minor breach of etiquette.
One of my (male) cousins is getting married in June- invitations just went in the mail (not that formal a party). Aunties, Grandma, and whoever else are raising a ruckus because the invitations did not include the names of my cousin's parents. WTF?
I was not specifically invited, so it looks like I get to sit this party out (I hope. I pray). Uncle (father of the groom) is tied up in knots and at wit's end, and the real fun hasn't even started yet. However, my grandma and aunties ALWAYS get catty and nitpicky at a wedding. Mom got the plaintive phone call from Uncle; which ratcheted up HER tension...
Y'know what? My cousin is the GROOM, he probably had no input/control on the invitations ANYWAY.
Long and short of it, my mom's repeated her offer to just throw money at me and Boyfriend to encourage us to elope, if we ever decide to take the plunge. |
