Animal activists go overboard by ag_wyvern 2006-04-02 19:08:48

In an incident reminiscent of the frontier justice of the past century, activists affiliated with a major animal rights association are suspected of the killing of local abattoir operator Hugh Chilaem.

At the time of his murder, Chilaem was under investigation for alleged animal rights offenses involving unusual methods of killing horses processed at the facility.

Chilaem was accused of using a custom-built gallows for processing these animals - it was in this area of the facility that his girlfriend, Ivana Dewem, discovered his body early Saturday.

Although the police would not confirm the exact cause of death, when interviewed, his girlfriend, Ivana Dewem, let the bizarre truth slip "It's so ironic - the way they killed him probably satisfied his killers in the same way that he satisfied me in life, hun..."
