...there is no object in the sentence, since to be is not a transitive verb. I'm literally laughing out loud, by the way, and I hope you are too! I was a Music major, not English,but I do have A's on my transcript for 15 semester hours of University English courses -- Texas Tech and University of Houston -- the first six hours of which were awarded by examination, my ACT scores having been rather high in that subject.
