trying to figure out why "the internet doesn't work!" (This is according to the report from my brother.) Turns out the DHCP/DNS server / firewall / router box had been unplugged from the internal switch, so nothing on the internal network could get an address, or resolve hostnames, or get any traffic anywhere public. Sigh.
So I was lost for a while; luckily SciFi will replay it next week at 8, before they play part 2. It'll probably make more sense the second time around, as long as I don't miss out on the first 15 minutes again. |
