It is very good and certainly has a future, but not in mainstream. It's already difficult enough to construct a functional and more importantly stable interface which works with only a single mouse and a keyboard, but this raises complexity by magnitudes. At this point it's flashy and later on it will be used for some very specific purposes, but I doubt it will ever have any real value to general populace. Virtual reality was also promising, but is by now reduced to "augmented reality" that has much more realistic usages. Likewise this might also be stripped for some related technologies and not the idea. So don't expect Windows 2036 or Mac OSL to have any support for this. I is extremely cool though.
