I had two similiar tales. Both at the same place. I was the Base Secure Technician in McClellan AFB before it closed. I got paged out the Command Center because a traffic line was acting strange. Whenever they sent out a message they would recieve another back from the distant end with the exact same message. I checked the modem and somebody had switched it into far-end loopback mode. No one would fess up. The second one I got paged because our equipment wasnt turning on. They said it was plugged in but it still wasnt turning on. I got there and followed the power cable. Well supposedly the computer, the printer, and the fridge wouldnt turn on as well. Everything was plugged into a power strip....but the power strip wasnt plugged into the wall. Marked the error down as PEBKAC...problem exists between keyboard and chair
