Tech Support tales of humor by SnArL 2006-03-31 14:22:16
Just heard this from someone who was doing backup/install support several years ago.

The customer had been using tar to back up files on her system, and now she needed to restore the data. He tells her, "Go ahead and put the tape in the drive."

She replies, "Tape? We don't have a tape drive."

There was apparently a VERY large file in /dev called rmt0. She said that they had never understood why they had to keep increasing the size of the filesystem.
