| Old card failed a while ago (PC freezes whenever there's something more demanding), so I have to buy a new one. But the thing is, do I buy an AGP card or a PCI-E one and a new motherboard as well? I don't use home computer much for gaming, perhaps couple of times every few months (PS2 gets a lot more action), so I don't need any real power, just something to get along with. On one hand, if I get just an AGP card (GeForce 6200 or 6600 are cheap enough and perfectly sufficient for my needs), I'd eventually have to upgrade either way, but probably not any time soon. And if I get new motherboard and a stronger video card, not only would I spend more money and have to reinstall my PC (something I'm *not* looking forward to), but I'd get outdated not much later than my current setup would. |
