And after what happened with her father I know wolfspouse would repect it if it came to that.

Yeah, Nevada from what I've seen has the worst medical-malpractice laws (from a patient point of view). Out of who-knows how many suits that were completed the year he died exactly *two* went against the doctors. Not very good odds, even with a rock-solid case (as this one is). Plus, the hospital will drag it out for years knowing they only have to outlast my late-60's mother-in-law and the whole case goes away (yes, I've become very cynical).
