UFie Fit Club by wolfhound668 2006-03-31 05:21:20
Well, here we are, another Friday, another report. :)

I'm doing good this week. Down to 176.5, about another pound and a half from last week. I'm actually starting to see progress in the mirror (which set wolfspouse off the other day, she's mad that I'm losing weight and she's not. I'm not even allowed to joke in front of the mirror about my physique). Also, last weekend I did a little shopping. I bought three new pairs of jeans with a 34 inch waist. :) I haven't worn 34's since, oh, about the time I got married. ;) I've been wearing 38's for the last few years. Since there's still room for improvement I should be able to get down to a 32 or dare I even dream, the 31 that I was when I was 18? Anyway, wolfspouse says that she's going back on the low-carb diet as of Monday (which she lost some weight on but quit a couple of months back). I'm also trying to talk her into going to the club just two times a week (she's got a membership at the club where she works, I go to the same place). We are paying for it after all (only $15 a paycheck for both of us).

Funny thing about the club. I've been noticing that there have been fewer and fewer people there each week. I'm well familiar with the "New Year's Resolution" group that quits about this time very year. Right now there's only a handful in the room during the time I work out (between 4 and 5:30pm) where a few weeks ago you had to wait to get on a machine.

Speaking of the machines, the Polar heart monitor I mentioned a couple of weeks ago turned out to be a great investment. That and my iPod to drown out the horrible music that the club plays and I'm a happy wolfhound.

I've read a couple of studies in the last week that chocolate, if processed properly, has as much flavonoids (sp?) as a glass of red wine. The stuff that's supposed to be good for your heart and lowering chloresterol. Of course now there's in industry based on that. :) Does anyone have any experience with a brand of chocolate called Cocoavia? I might have to try this stuff out. ;)

That's about it for today. How's everyone else doing?
