I have a newer HP laptop (P4 3.2, 512mb, FX5700 64mb, 17" screen, etc. ). Anyway, the screen and backlight both died after barely a year of extremely light use. I called ONE DAY outside of the warranty period, and they wouldn;t even listen to me. They said that if I ran a spyware remover program, it would fix it. I might just sell it, an get either a Sager or an IBM laptop (both are top knotch!)
