The town east of us had the reputation of being one of the five biggest speedtraps in the country year after year. No kidding, the town had a population of about 200-250 and always had eight brand-new squad cars and their own k-9 unit (only the county had k-9 in those days, of course they've all got them now). On weekends I would sit and listen. My town would have someone pulled over every hour or so. The other surrounding towns about the same. The cop town, every ten minutes like clockwork from about 11pm-2:30am every Friday and Saturday. One time our booking agent booked my band into a bar in that town. We played for our roadies and no one drank anything stronger then soda that night. :) Even the town I'm in now the two biggest activities for the cops are retail theft from the mall in town and DUIs on weekends. Small town USA at it's finest. :)
