It is reliable in most ways, but the numerous quirks in Palm's software have made my swear off Palm. Maybe expecting basic software to work is asking too much. e.g.1: wierd bug whan loading phone numbers off my SIM card made every number end in a 5. e.g.2: having sorted all my contacts into "business", "Personal" and a category I named "Utility", after a restore from the synched version on my desktop machine, "Utilities" no longer existed - all those ones are marked as "Unfiled". :-( Also, the whole phone - only - through - headset thing sucks in practice. Too much wire dangling from the shirt pocket.
