My ham radio used to work for that until the consolodated all the 911 services to a central unit. Now they don't operate in bands I can hear from what I can tell.(I only have a ducky and I'm near a transformer with lots of buildings around) It's still good for picking them up on simplex or weirding out drive through take out people with headsets. ;)
