to have something to show game devlopers as I apply for jobs at their place, I don't really have any desire to buy HL2 just for the sake of making a mod. As a gamer (rather then a game developer 2 be?) I tend to prefer to leave it to the professionals and just play W:ET, ET:QW (when it's done) and BattleField 2 instead. But keep us posted! Objective based gameplay in the Source engine could be quite interesting.
