Are you claiming all muslims are alike? All of the Middle East is alike? Do you distinguish between Arab culture and Persian culture? Between Lebanese Arabs, Syrian Arabs, Iraqi Arabs? I think the best you have is some subjective experience (both yours and your friends'), and that is not enough for me. Strength can be shown, and appreciated in many different ways, both overt and subtle.
