Sorry but winning the "War on Terror' will never happen and if we try to "...convince the general populous that the 'infidel/occupying force' isn't bad, and get the terrorists around a table." It will only make things worse. What needs to happen is that we need to convince the general populace that the west isn't so bad and kill or completely sideline the terrorists. An effort that must be undertaken relentlessly.
