She was able to get out of her carseat and unlock the door. Now your troubles really begin. :)

One of my mom's favorite "the things kids do" stories concerned my two older sibs. I wasn't born yet so they would have been 4 and 3 tops. Mom left them in the car with it parked on a hill (this would have been late-60's no carseats then, heck there probably weren't seatbelts at the time). Anyway, my sister got down on the floor and managed to push in the clutch. Gravity did what gravity does and down the hill went the car. They ended up in someone's front yard at the bottom of the hill. Really lucky that she didn't kill them or someone else. As to why the parking brake wasn't set, etc never seemed to factor into the story. ;)
