I believe the old grant when my friend had it a few years ago(he took cad which is why he got it) was up to $3600cdn. I'd ask them about a mac but new macs can't easily run windows. I don't think virtal pc would be good enough. I need a machine that will run both linux and windows because that is what I will be working with.
