So my son will turn 4 tomorrow. He has been sick all week with strep throat and has been at home. He likes playing with these three little plastic army men his sister got him out of some junk machine so I decide to give him the big bucket of soldiers I've had tucked away for the last 10 years or so.

The bucket has two colors, tan and dark green. I give them to him with the standard warning not to leave them on the floor and stuff like that. I go off to make dinner. During dinner, he asks me to help him cut some holes in a box he is using as a house for his soldiers. Not a problem.

After dinner, he wants to show me the soldiers he set up in his room. I go in and they are all neatly standing and clearly set up in and around their house. I am confused a bit because they are mixed together. So I ask him which are the good guys and which are the bad guys. He tells me that they all decided to be friends and that they are now all good guys.

So my question is: how did you reach my son and what else have you told him? :) And no, I did not make any comments to him about the setup.

Just thought you might like this story.
