...back in 1988! Isn't that a hoot? He got a life sentence for killing a woman back in 1988. Lucky for him, the legal system in Canada has mercy on violent criminals. They let him out in 1999.

Keep this case in mind next time a Canadian tries to tell you that life in prison is better than the death penalty.
