On the other hand, the only way to get countries such as Iran to progress, and move closer towards peaceful coexistence with the west is to support and enable their progress towards more modern infrastructure, higher standards of living, better schools, medical system etc. All these things need energy.
Improve the standards of education and the access to unbiased news sources, and the religiots will stand to dwindle, taking the root cause of the problem with them. But don't expect the problem to be solved within a few years or even decades. This will take G$ of investments, and a generation or two at least. |
