more expensive, and less available. Also, it covers half the distance that g does, due to its higher frequency. This may be a good thing for you, or it may not. Don't forget that wireless telephones use the same frequency as 802.11b and g - unless you buy the more expensive 5GHz ones. So a is likely to produce and receive less interference than g.

Whether to go with a or g really depends on what you need -- is coverage an issue, or interference? Cost and future proofing?
