There are several that will perform at or above the level you'd need for the course for less than $1000. Heck, I just bought one for myself (yay, it arrives tomorrow! dance of joy). Even if you have to cover part of the cost yourself, the benefits (IMO) outweigh the cost. If one of the lab machines isn't available - pfft! Who cares? You've got one. If some draconian lab monitor has a hissy fit about you plugging in a thumbdrive - pfft. Go 'way and bother someone else, lab-boy. :) That transit time? Heh. You can do homework... or just about anything else (wink wink). --sofaspud --
