I myself am ussually frustrated by the limitations that, by nessesity, are placed on a public use computer, so having my own laptop with me where I can work using tools that I know and trust is of primary importance. However, first find out what the policy of the school, and prof, regarding notebooks in classrooms. Some institutions don't like it mostly due to the disruption of a hundred clacking keys during a lecture.
You don't NEED the laptop for the class, but for my money it would be a good thing. |
