Need help with printer driver. by Peace_man 2006-03-30 08:41:48
I have an application that prints text. It is meant to print to a 8.5" long form.

I have a dot matrix printer (a Panasonic kx-p1592) that I can't find a W2K driver for, so I have set it up as Generic/Text only.

The problem is that the Windows printer driver assumes letter sized paper - 11" long. And uses line feeds to get to top of form. So each subsequent form has the printing 2.5" lower than the last. Things do not line up properly:-(

Does anybody have any idea how to get Windows to stop interfering with my print job? I can't even select Text as data type in the printer driver and make it stick - it reverts back to raw immediately.
