If we start believing government propaganda, govt may turn totalitarian without us knowing it. (At least, that's what the western press writes about the foreign dictators: that propaganda makes people believe hey are free while they aren't)
And the post was about "persia" (as in Iran or Iraq), which -today- is different from "arabia". Maybe these differences aren't too important, though only one of these three countries is US-occupied, wheras only one is "free of US troops". I think the "arabia" one is neither.
On our european scale, we 're used to making the point that "the flemish aren't dutch, and that Alsace is in France, not in Germany" and stuff like that.
I think (without reason) that US people will differentiate more within US than they do "in the middle east". It's so convenient to put everyone together and to generalise ( ... general Electric, general Motors, general Patton ... )
