The men stood and Aidian moved to escort his wife out of the dining hall. Dionne was reaching to take his arm when a wave of dizziness washed over her. She had been feeling slightly weak through the journey, thinking it was only stress from worrying over Victor and what fate awaited her in Anstaria. She barely felt Aidian's arm around her waist before she passed out.

When she woke up, the Healer and Sally were leaning over her with a very worried Aidian just beyond her. She caught a glimpse of Andrew and Lord Danner standing by the door.

"What happened?" Dionne asked.

"You fainted," the Healer responded. "Do you know why?"

"No, not really," Dionne said.

The Healer frowned. "Have you been feeling differently lately?"

Dionne closed her eyes, thinking. "Not that I can think of. I have been feeling a little dizzy for a few days now, but I thought it was from the heat."

"How long have you been feeling like this?"

"A month, maybe two."

The Healer’s frown deepened and she asked Dionne personal questions about her womanly times.

Dionne blushed. "I cannot remember my last time. It has been rather irregular since I moved to Darius."

The Healer was quiet for a moment. "Princess, I believe you may be pregnant. It is not unusual for women in Darius to feel weak during this time."
