| But it just couldn't deal with the shear volume of data I was pushing through it, I think. After a little more than 2 years, it started rebooting around every 1-1.5 gigs which, to me was about 1-2 times a day. I'm not particularly please with Linksys's products as of late. I had 2 of their WRT54Gv5 routers that wouldn't connect to the internet to save their lives and ended up returning them. Instead, I got a Netgear WGT624v3 and I couldn't be happier. Plugged it in and it jumped on the net just fine. From there, all I had to do was log in and configure the security settings. I'm very happy with it, so I imagine most other people would be too. I'm sorry to say though, that I don't have any experience with the .11a products. I will say that everyone should stay away from the .11n products for the time being as they're not really standards compliant, seeing as there is no standard yet. From what I'm told, today's 'n' products will slow down to 'g' speeds when the real .11n products are released just next year which, to me, is a major waste of cash. |
