preferred notebook pcs by tyebald 2006-03-30 06:36:57
Ok, I've come into a few dollars and have decided it would be nice to pick up a laptop/notebook computer. I would like the system to be able to handle work as well as play, but I'm still trying to keep the cost under two thousand.

I've been looking at the various Dell systems and some of the Fujitsu tablet pcs. I like the idea of a rotating screen but I don't know whether the technology is mature enough yet.

Any thoughts/suggestions/conjecture on decent machines/companies to work with on this? Any horror stories/lists of things to avoid?
