FDisk then format is your friend.

That was one of the questions I got wrong on the 98 cert exam because the "proper" answer on upgrading a M$ OS is to install over the existing. But then you're bringing over potential problems and heck knows M$ has enough of those on a fresh install (current XP sp2 systems that I'm getting from the vendors need 160MB of patches before I send them out).

Let it never be said that M$ certification exams have anything to do with the real world. That's why I didn't bother to keep my cert after NT4. It's sad about how many companies advertise in the want ads as "MUST have MCSE". So they'd rather hire someone who took the bootcamp and learned the M$ answers instead of someone with years of experience who knows how things work in the real world. :)
