exception to the religious teachings of the child. His complaint is visitation. Without all the information it is hard to say but to me it looks more like a control issue. Why doesn't the father mention a desire to take interest in the child's religious education. He could attend with the child, or if not, then accept this and be supportive of the child rather than complain about his personal needs.

The child is going to grow up in a world of many beliefs. If the father is supportive and constructive in his actions then it will help the child later in life.
