Anyway, it doesn't matter if it's a Christian thing or not. In the name of separation of church from state, will you stop a Jewish child going to synagogue? Will you stop a Muslim child from respecting the various aspects of Islam? Will you stop a Buddhist, Hindu, or anyone else from doing whatever they do? The simple fact is that you shouldn't.
