It wasn't exactly open to the public-at-large, but performances were at lunch hour and were open to anyone who wanted to watch them.
I can't remember what the play was titled, but it was for high school drama class projects. I was bemoaning not getting a major part by audition, but one of my drama friends (I'm *not* a drama kid at all) suddenly had a need for a handful of extras to play restless spirits. As a result, I got to repeat one line of text over and over, and act like I was being strangled (complete with heavy breathing). That's it.
I've had other audition horror stories, though (see my entry for the '...but tomorrow would be different' snap fiction challenge - that was semi-autobiographical), yet I've never been picked for a part by audition. |
