          Along those lines I have a funny story by classic_jon 2006-03-24 12:25:55
A buddy of mine was entering the highway at a busy point and a little white GEO Metro would not let him in and there was an 18 wheeler behind the GEO...so he sped up and came over before the merge lane ended. Apparently the GEO driver took exception to this and *HIT HIS RED AND BLUES* and slapped a blue magnetic gumball on his roof and motioned for him to pull over. My friend, after getting over the shock of a *GEO METRO* having police lights laughed and floored it. Needless to say he left the GEO in the dust :-D

(AS a side note he was driving a 1991 Caprice that was a decommissioned pursit cruiser with the interceptor motor...fast car!)

He then called 911 and reported the guy to DPS. About 10 miles down the road a DPS officer in a marked car pulled him over and proceded to explain to him that(inbetween chuckles!) the GEO was the off-duty car of a sherrifs deputy and that the deputy was PISSED that he left him like he was standing still and didn't pull over. My friend, realizing that the DPS guys were laughing about it, started joking with them and told them that there was NO WAY he would pull over for a GEO METRO, lights or not. They agreed with him and told him that he needed to leave before the Deputy got there and that they would take care of it as he really needed a car "that had a motor that would go faster than 80 if he was going to try to pull someone over!"

We later on found out through a DPS friend that the deputy was ribbed mercilessly about it by the Sherrifs department and DPS every time they saw him.
