there are a number o fremarkably complex formulas for determining "fit" of a garment. mens fit is pretty simple, but womens goes nuts. even just for slacks you have one curve and straight for men, for women you're lookign at 3 curves. each curve is defined by several circumfrences that change independently. you're also paying for more skilled stichers putting it together, and more skilled designers IP
