...a nutso amount of those brand new starter castles in the golf course subdivisions are going up for foreclosure. In my P/C class was a lady from the local credit union who was switching over to insurance from the mortgage side. I'm not surprised; I've seen the intimate finacials of the McMansion set- they live paycheck-to-paycheck just like the folks in the dodgy neighborhoods. If you live on $8-9/hour, you can pick up a comparable job easier than if you made $50-60K at your last job. Elkhart's been taken over by the Mexicans; I haven't really heard of housing appreciation there.
