I especially hate it when it is juxtaposed with what I consider very "ungodly" acts such as murder etc. Tapes of Bin Laden had him saying, "Praise God" over and over again in Arabic when talking about the 9/11 attacks.
I also hate hearing a constant run of "praise God's" from proponents of the war in Iraq.
In my tradition, we say "Baruch Hashem" (bless the un-nameable name) which is similar to "Blessed be".
I love hearing "Blessed be" which is more content neutral and automatically sounds worse when used in an ungodly context.
