Wheee. I love "suck it and see"... by McNutcase 2006-03-24 10:25:12
It's New Phone Time for me... and while I like my provider's contract, their selection of handsets completely fails to thrill me. For contract phones, there is not a single one that fulfills my requirements (MUST be tri-band GSM, MUST NOT have camera built in; no doubt you've all seen my rants on such), and this annoys me. I bought a camera to be a camera; I don't want a shonky low-quality one taking up space in my phone.

However, they DO offer a suitable phone in PAYG for £20. So, tomorrow, I run my fine self past a store where they don't get told I have a contract, and buy same. When I get home and have it charged, I get to see if it's network-locked or SIM-locked... and whether I have to faff about and pay extra to make it my phone...

Unless, that is, someone has an unlocked Motorola V186 of the quad-band flavour they don't need? If so, my e-mail address is in my diary... *puppy-dog eyes*
