I worked in a convenience store and got slipped a couple of bad $20's. Anyway, the way the agent told us to verify identity of the agent was to: 1. Ask to see their credentials (photo ID) and get their name and badge number 2. look up the number of the local agency office in the phone book, not anything that they give you, and ask if agent whats-his-name is working in the area 3. If they're not legit, someone will be there in a hurry to see what's going on.
