How are you going to do any proper authentication at highway speeds? there is absolutely nothing they can show you other than that they have a car that looks somewhat like a police vehicle and has blinking lights, and that gets them elevated privs. Sensible defensive practices tell you to ignore this crazy person with their blinking lights, but if you do the sensible thing, you would probably get a ticket for your prudence.
